St-Maarten/St-Martin is shared by the Netherlands and France.

Not to ne missed: Orient Bay, Rouge Bay, Marigot and Fort-St-Louis, dining at Grand Case. Maho Beach for the thrill of planes landing just meters over your head, casinos along the Simpson Logoon, shopping in Philipsburg, Paradise Peak (the highest point of the island), the Butterflies Farm.

Ups: Great beaches, one island - two cultures, great shopping (duty-free or upscale), one of the best dining spot in the Caribbean, great entertainment on the Dutch side of the island, indulgence on the French-side.

Downs: the French side lacks a little livelyhood when the sun goes down. The Dutch side is too touristy.
